About The Opportunity   

Join the Programmed Facility Management department as an Audit Officer, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of social housing services across NSW. We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence to inspect and audit works performed by subcontractors. Based in Dubbo NSW, this permanent full-time role offers the chance for long-term career growth and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to community services.

Through meticulous auditing and operational oversight, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct thorough inspections of customer sites to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
• Providing ongoing guidance to supervisors on necessary processes for maintaining compliance.
• Maintaining a comprehensive register of identified risks and ensuring timely reporting.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, project managers, and customers regarding work progress and requirements.
• Minimizing risks associated with day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with legislative standards.
• Generating formal reports when necessary to document findings and recommendations.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of building and engineering principles, coupled with excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will ideally have experience in technical auditing within the building industry, along with the following qualifications and attributes:

• Trade qualification advantageous, not essential
• Familiarity with Australian standards and the Building Code of Australia is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A valid driver's license.
• Previous experience in technical auditing of building works is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
