The Role
We seek to engage a Commercial Painting Estimator to join our Perth (Belmont) Painting Services team. Whether you are an experienced estimator or someone within the paint trade sector who wants to try something new, this is the perfect role to get you started.
We are using innovative technology to improve our painting estimation and ensure we remain the sector leaders. If you enjoy the technology scene, this will add another exciting element to your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Site Assessments: Perform detailed inspections of commercial properties to evaluate the scope of work required for painting projects.
- Prepare Accurate and Competitive Estimates: Create precise estimates for commercial painting projects, considering material costs, labour, equipment, and time requirements.
- Review Project Specifications: Analyze project documents and scope to understand client needs and clearly provide realistic cost estimates.
- Tender and Quote Management: Prepare and submit professional tenders and quotations, ensuring they meet client specifications and deadlines.
- Negotiate with Suppliers: Source and negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure the best pricing.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously stay informed about new products, techniques, and industry standards to ensure competitive and high-quality estimates.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in commercial painting estimating or a similar role - desirable
- Strong knowledge of commercial painting processes, products, and industry standards - desirable
- Excellent computer literacy and the ability to use estimating software
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical competence
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Willingness to travel to various job sites across Perth and regional South West if required.
- A relevant qualification in painting, construction, or a related field is highly regarded
- A current Australian driver’s license
