About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Works Supervisor to drive service excellence on a large-scale social housing contract. This role involves efficiently coordinating, managing, and overseeing subcontractor performance to ensure the successful delivery of facility management services. The Works Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely completion of all required works, while consistently meeting both company and client quality standards, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining operational efficiency.

This permanent, full-time role is based in Orange (NSW) and will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and ensuring alignment with contractual, financial, and safety requirements.

Through exceptional administration, scheduling and coordination, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure high-quality service delivery that consistently meets client expectations and enhances satisfaction.
  • Provide clear communication on work updates and progress to both customers and service teams.
  • Coordinate all aspects of works management, from initial planning through to successful job completion, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Monitor job status and track expenditures, ensuring works are completed within budget and aligned with financial goals.
  • Deliver safe, efficient, and profitable outcomes, focusing on operational success.
  • Assess and manage OH&S requirements prior to work commencement to ensure all safety standards and resources are in place.
  • Effectively communicate work plans, requirements, and timelines to staff, ensuring alignment across all teams.
  • Resolve site issues promptly and efficiently, promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in building trades, facilities maintenance, or a similar field, ideally in a supervisory, management, or planning/scheduling capacity. You will demonstrate a proactive, 'can-do' attitude, possess strong people engagement skills, and have a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.

Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Trade qualification(s) preferred, however not essential.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint).
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and scheduling tools advantageous, however not essential.
