About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracts Manager to join our Grounds & Open Spaces team. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our City of Palmerston contract in Darwin.

This permanent full-time position presents an opportunity to lever your groundskeeping knowledge and management experience while having a meaningful impact at work with an organization that supports balancing your passions.

Key Responsibilities

Leveraging your strong operations background and business acumen, your key responsibilities will be to:

• Oversee daily operations.
• Coach, mentor and lead contract team.
• Deliver exceptional customer relationship management.
• Partner with clients and operations team to achieve organic & new growth objectives.
• Prepare and deliver financial budgets and forecasts.
• Continually improve strategies and processes to increase performance.
• Provide expert knowledge to the development of bids & tenders.
• Promote and develop a safety culture across the business.

About You

To excel in this role, you will be a motivated professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude, knack for people engagement and drive for operational excellence. A background or strong knowledge of the grounds keeping industry and maintenance services is also highly desirable, however not essential (grounds maintenance, horticulture, landscaping, mowing, turf, facilities maintenance etc).

Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

• Grounds and/or open spaces maintenance experience are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated contract management experience.
• Highly developed communication and strong stakeholder engagement ability.
• Proactive approach to relationship management and business development.
