About The Opportunity
Programmed’s Property Services department seeks an experienced hands-on Painter Foreperson to join our small close-knit team based in Darwin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business known for providing exceptional painting services to various clients across Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to a small team of 2-3 people and providing the timely preparation and painting of nominated customer sites to a high quality.
This is a Full-time position working Monday to Friday, with the option for Overtime hours on the weekend, as well as the opportunity to work away from home.
Please note: Relocation assistance available for the right candidate wanting to experience the beautiful NT.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to the exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete and wood
- Prepare painting surfaces for painting by scraping, filling in the cracks and removing old paint
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Oversee staff and ensure teams are on track to complete each project
- Develop and maintain rapport with clients providing them with timely and accurate updates
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced Painter who has previously worked in a domestic or commercial environment with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have:
- Trade qualification in painting and decorating (Desirable)
- EWP ticket (Desirable)
- Working with Children Check (Desirable)
- Current driver’s license
- Current satisfactory national police check
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace
- Excellent customer service skills
- Execute work that is of a high standard
