About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team, responsible for managing the materials and inventory for a key facility management contract. This includes overseeing purchasing, inventory control, and administrative tasks for a small onsite warehouse. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, supporting maintenance operations, and ensuring compliance with service delivery standards for asset management, operational efficiency, and safety requirements.
This permanent, full-time role is based in Gatton (QLD) and will play a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring alignment with contractual, financial, and safety standards.
Through effective coordination and inventory management, your key responsibilities will be:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the onsite warehouse, including materials and inventory management.
- Manage purchasing, receiving, and distribution of materials required for maintenance and facility operations.
- Maintain accurate stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimisation of stockouts or overstocking.
- Track inventory movements, ensuring records are kept up to date and compliant with safety and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource use.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, tracking materials usage, and forecasting needs.
- Maintain a safe and organised warehouse environment in line with safety standards and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimise warehouse operations and material handling.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a background in warehousing, inventory management, or experience as a Storeperson. You will be highly organised, proactive, and possess excellent attention to detail, ensuring smooth operations within the warehouse.
Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination, inventory management, or related administrative roles (maintenance or facilities management preferred).
- Familiarity with purchasing systems and inventory control processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP & Business Management Software (Navision/Dynamics 365 is advantageous, however not essential).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Positive attitude, strong motivation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
