About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for two Business Development Managers to join our team in Sydney focusing on growing our commercial painting business and cross-selling other property services to existing customers.
This is not a passive role. You’ll be assigned your own sales territory (Inner Sydney) and will be expected to proactively identify and win new business, while also managing and growing existing accounts. This is a true business development role - perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, chasing new opportunities, and delivering long-term service solutions (not just one-off product sales).
You’ll be backed by a structured 8-week onboarding program that’s heavy on development, industry knowledge, and sales skills - setting you up for success from the beginning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow the business throughout your Inner Sydney region
- Strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research
- Utilize your sound sales history, particularly in trades and services, to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers
- Prepare accurate sales estimates and develop professional proposals that showcase our offerings
- Leverage your previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to effectively manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need more than just a great sales history. We’re looking for someone with the BDM mindset - someone who takes initiative, chases opportunities, and builds value through relationships.
You’ll likely have:
- Experience growing revenue from both new and existing clients
- Strong relationship management and account development skills
- A genuine drive to hunt for new business - cold calling, networking, and prospecting come naturally to you
- A mindset focused on solutions and service, not transactional selling
- The ability to maintain a strong and profitable sales pipeline
- Confidence managing full sales cycles, from lead generation to close
- Excellent influencing, communication & presentation skills
