Position Overview

The Practice Lead Microsoft 365 & Voice is the organisation’s expert responsible for maximising value from the Microsoft 365 & Voice platforms, including core components such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). This role combines deep technical knowledge with product thinking, governance, and business engagement to ensure Microsoft 365 is secure, well-adopted, fit-for-purpose, and continuously improving.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Roadmap

- Create the vision and roadmap for the Microsoft 365 suit across the business.

- Evaluate new Microsoft features and determine rollout approach.

- Align platform evolution with business priorities and user needs.

- Define and maintain governance standards and usage policies.

- Ensure compliance with security, retention, and data protection requirements.

- Support lifecycle management, access controls, and licensing optimisation.


Product Ownership & Continuous Improvement

- Maintain feature backlog and prioritise enhancements.

- Collect user feedback and drive continuous improvement.

- Monitor adoption, usage and performance metrics to identify opportunities.

- Product expertise and roadmap management.

- Experience and expertise in driving digital adoption and change.

- Ability to convert business needs into technology outcomes.


Configuration, Enablement & Adoption

- Configure and optimise Microsoft 365 services.

- Assist business units with M365 best practice implementation.

- Provide escalation support for complex M365 challenges, including advanced resolution for Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, and PowerApps issues.

- Deliver communication, training, and enablement programs.

- Build and support a Microsoft 365 champions community.

- Act as key point of contact for capability rollout.

- Partner with technical and business teams.

- Translate business needs into technical outcomes.

- Communicate platform decisions effectively.


Skills, Experience & Attributes

Technical Expertise

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform architecture.

- Experience with Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Entra ID, Power Platform, and PowerApps.

- Strong experience with Voice technology such as Teams and AWS

- Strong understanding of governance, security and compliance.

- Experience with Microsoft Graph API and custom integrations

- Third-party application integration with M365 ecosystem

- Hybrid environment management (on-premises to cloud transitions)

Qualifications

- Relevant Microsoft certifications desirable (MS-700, MS-102, SC-900, PL-900, PL-600).

- Experience in digital workplace and enterprise IT environments.

- Agile or product management experience advantageous.

- Reviewing Microsoft roadmap and communicating updates.

- Creating governance documentation.

- Running Teams/SharePoint/Power Platform sessions.

- Reviewing and tuning M365 security and licensing in consultation with Group IT Security.

- Developing and delivering training and awareness.

- Meeting stakeholders to understand requirements.

- Managing rollout of new collaboration features.

- Monitoring usage dashboards and driving adoption campaigns.
