About the Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management are seeking an experienced Utility Worker (All-Rounder) to join the Village Management Team at a major mining site in North Queensland. This hands-on role combines core utility duties with an administration component (approx. 20%) and the opportunity to support and supervise a small team. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards across accommodation, cleaning and village services while supporting the Village Manager with daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping, mine-site cleaning, kitchenhand support and general village upkeep
  • Coordinate daily village activities and maintain cleanliness standards
  • Complete administrative tasks including accommodation allocation, work orders and reporting
  • Support and supervise a small team of utility workers
  • Conduct inspections of accommodation, grounds and common areas
  • Assist with stock control and ordering
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests and changing priorities
  • Support transport coordination when required
  • Ensure compliance with site, safety and quality standards

About You

  • Previous experience as a Utility Worker (remote or village environment preferred)
  • Comfortable combining hands-on work with administrative tasks
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to support others
  • Well organised, reliable and adaptable
  • Strong safety awareness and customer service focus
  • Competent using basic PC systems (i.e. MS Office)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • C Class driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and police check
