About The Opportunity 

Programmed are currently seeking an HSEQ Advisor to join our team based in our Christchurch office. In this role, you will oversee the health, safety, and environmental requirements across our business units throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of industries, including open space, construction, and commercial painting. This role combines the best of hands-on safety management with a strategic and operational focus towards the achievement of our zero/harm values.  

Nature of the Position: Permanent, Full Time  

Reporting line: National HSEQ Manager  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • The provision of safety expertise and support to operational and construction project teams
  • Perform incident reporting and investigations 
  • Conduct site inspections and audits 
  • Provide sound HSEQ advice and support as required 
  • Support the development and delivery of HSEQ information and communication 
  • Delivery of inductions, training, and assessments, as required 
  • Collection and collation of HSEQ data, with the ability to interpret and provide improvement recommendations 

  

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in Health & Safety, and who possesses first-class stakeholder engagement and customer service skills. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:  

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Safety and Environment or relevant experience & qualification    
  • Driver’s license 
  • Excellent time management, organisational and administration skills 
  • Relationship-building skills, including the ability to partner with managers and employees 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • ICAM Certification (desirable but not essential)
