About The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Facility Manager – Building Services to join our Programmed team. This role is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and optimization of all building services systems across the site. This role ensures asset reliability, regulatory compliance, contractor performance, and delivery of safe, efficient, and customer‑focused building services. The position oversees technical services including HVAC, electrical, hydraulics, fire protection, and building automation systems.

This permanent, full-time role is based in Gatton (QLD) and offers the chance to lead and manage maintenance operations within a high-security environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the performance of all building services systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire)
  • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to operations
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and system performance reviews
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors whilst on site
  • Plan and deliver minor asset works and building services projects
  •  Monitor contractor performance and safety outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in managing facility maintenance operations, ideally in a corrections or other industrial setting. You will have a strong focus on preventative and corrective maintenance and a commitment to delivering high-quality work while ensuring safety and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in facility management or a maintenance management role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, budgets, and building services projects
  • A solid understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities
  • A strong commitment to safety and compliance with OH&S regulations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on time
  • Experience with maintenance management software or systems is a plus
  • Full Driver’s License
