About the Role

As a Kitchen Utility, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality catering services and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Working within a fast-paced village, you’ll support meal service for a large workforce while ensuring hygiene and safety standards are consistently met.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term FIFO career, with opportunities to progress into leading hand, supervisory or broader village roles.

Key Responsibilities

 Assist with preparation and service of nutritious, high-quality meals

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining and food prep areas
• Wash and store kitchen equipment and utensils
• Support bulk food preparation, labelling and stock control
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
• Manage waste and maintain overall facility presentation
• Provide support across the village team as required

About You

You’re reliable, hardworking, and take pride in maintaining high standards. You enjoy working in a team and understand the importance of consistency in a FIFO environment.

You will bring:

• Experience in mass catering, hospitality or mining village environments
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume settings
• A team-first attitude with a willingness to help where needed
• Resilience and adaptability to remote FIFO conditions
• A strong commitment to safety and service quality

Requirements

Essential:

• Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
• Food Safety / Food Handling Certificate

Highly Regarded:

• Previous FIFO or mine site experience
• First Aid Certificate
• RSA
