Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster out of Perth, this role is suited to candidates who understand the demands of FIFO environments and high-volume service settings.

The Opportunity

As a Retail Utility, you’ll be responsible for delivering front-of-house service across retail and bar operations, while supporting the overall running of the village.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, where you’ll serve residents, maintain presentation standards, and ensure all areas operate efficiently and safely.

You’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, well-managed environment for residents during their downtime on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in line with RSA requirements
• Operate retail areas, including handling sales, stock, and customer enquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation across bar, tavern, and retail spaces
• Manage glassware, restocking, and general service area upkeep
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, safety, and site policies
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for bar and retail areas
• Deliver high-quality customer service in a high-volume environment
• Support general utility duties where required to assist the wider team

About You

You’re a customer-focused professional who enjoys working with people and delivering a high standard of service.

You understand the demands of FIFO and are comfortable working in a role that is physically active, fast-paced, and service-driven.

You will have:

• Previous experience in retail, bar, hospitality, or similar environments
• Some FIFO or remote site experience (highly regarded)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a physically active role (standing for long periods, cleaning, restocking)
• A positive, team-first attitude

Requirements

• Full Australian working rights
• Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Current National Police Check (valid within the last 3 months)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

Desirable:

• First Aid
• Food Safety Certification
• Experience in FIFO village or remote hospitality environments

Location Requirement:
Candidates must be Perth-based (or able to commute to Perth for flights) or reside in Kalgoorlie.
