About the Opportunity                                    

Programmed are looking for a commercially savvy, relationship-focused Branch Manager to lead our Illawarra (NSW) branch supporting company growth within the region.

This is a key leadership role with a strong focus on new business development; you’ll build pipelines, win new clients, and drive growth.

You’ll oversee a small, capable team, including Project Managers and Business Development Managers. While sales and new client acquisition are your top priorities, you’ll also provide leadership across the branch to ensure team performance, alignment, and excellent client delivery.

This full-time, permanent position based in Unanderra (NSW) is perfect for someone with a strong background in sales or account management, proven team leadership skills, and the drive to grow a business within a supportive, well-established company.

Leveraging your strong leadership and business acumen, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Drive new business by identifying opportunities, pursuing leads, and building strong connections across the commercial sector
  • Rebuild and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Project Managers and their team of painters, as well as the Business Development Managers
  • Take responsibility for managing the site’s P&L, including budget tracking, forecasting, and driving profitability
  • Maintain a high-performing, customer-focused culture across your team
  • Provide high-level guidance on project delivery and ensure client expectations are met
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and industry regulations

About You

While paint industry experience is not essential, experience in managing trades or blue-collar staff in a similar industry (such as construction or facilities management) will be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in sales leadership, client relationship management, or account management.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to drive branch growth through both retention and acquisition.
  • Proven leadership skills and a collaborative, supportive management style.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to operational management
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and compliance
