About The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Estimator to join our Building Projects team in Auburn, Sydney. This integral role is responsible for managing a high volume of refurbishment and capital works projects throughout NSW. This role will focus on delivering accurate, competitive pricing across a steady pipeline of projects. Working closely with the Project Managers and delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.

Nature of the position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Auburn, NSW

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates/quotations for a range of refurbishment and capital projects from 40k- 3 Mil
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify all cost components
• Negotiate and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and suppliers
• Ensure regular contact with clients to develop and negotiate a clear project scope of work and project documentation
• Help identify risks, constraints, and cost-saving opportunities where it’s possible
• Work closely with the Project Managers and State Manager to ensure smooth delivery of projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience estimating remedial and fit-out work with excellent stakeholder and contractor communication and engagement. Additionally, you will have;

• First-class stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Tertiary qualification or working towards in Building/ Project management preferred
• Competencies in the use of Excel, word, project & outlook.
• A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
