About The Opportunity
We currently seeking permanent full-time Housekeeping staff, on Western Australia’s iconic tourist destination, Rottnest Island. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides cleaning services in an ideal location.
Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of self-managed accommodation and various facilities. Ensuring that all areas are kept clean, orderly, and always properly maintained for those travelling to the island and the workers of the facilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning of Site offices, facilities, ablutions and accommodation
- Ensure that the designated work, service and living areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness
- Achieve completion targets within allocated timeframes, ensuring quality to expected levels (KPIs)
- Respond to timely ad-hoc cleaning requests
- Follow Cleaning Policies and Procedures
- Appropriate storage and use of chemicals
- Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials/consumables levels, assist with EOM stock take audits
- Notifying the Supervisor of any maintenance requests/issues required within the Site
- Assist other departments from time to time, if required
About You
To join our team, you will have previous cleaning experience and be highly organized, possessing strong time and priority management skills. You will have a strong commitment to the hygiene and safety of yourself and others, and a passion to provide quality work and service with a smile, at all times:
You will possess:
- VALID WA C-Class License
- Australian Working Rights
- Ability to pass a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current National Police Check (within 6 months) or willingness for one to be completed
- Previous experience in a similar housekeeping assignment
- Ability to multi-task and assist across areas with a positive teamwork approach
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., iClean, MS Office, etc.
- Ability to work autonomously, be a self-motivator and respond to requests in a timely manner
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
Other requirements include:
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster (including weekends, public holidays, and stayovers)
- A valid WA Driver’s Licence
- White Card
