The Role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity available for experienced Workshop Fitter Machinists to join our team based in Muswellbrook!

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this role is responsible for working across a diverse range of light to medium industrial equipment, delivering high-quality repairs, maintenance, rebuilding and precision machining.

Key responsibilities

• Performing equipment repairs, maintenance overhauls and component rebuilds
• Manual machining using conventional lathes and milling machines
• Reading and interpreting detailed fabrication and machining drawings
• Producing work to precise tolerances and quality standards
• Providing scheduled and breakdown workshop support for a range of industrial clients
• Assisting with onsite maintenance activities when required
• Working collaboratively within a highly experienced and safety-focused team

Skills and experience

• Must hold Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Certificate of Proficiency)
• Significant workshop experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering, fabrication and machining drawings
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
