About the Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Trades Services and Delivery team, supporting a key South East Water contract based in Frankston.
This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Electrical and Dual Trade Technicians responsible for delivering reactive and preventative maintenance across a critical water infrastructure network. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will provide hands-on leadership, coordinate daily maintenance activities, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Electrical and Dual Trade Technicians, promoting a safe, collaborative, and high-performing culture
- Plan, prioritise, and coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, reactive maintenance, breakdown repairs, and daily work activities
- Provide technical guidance and on-site leadership to ensure maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards
- Coordinate resources and respond to changing operational priorities to ensure service delivery targets are achieved
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of maintenance services
- Manage operational issues, prepare quotations for maintenance works, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance
- Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a hands-on leader with strong electrical maintenance experience and a passion for developing teams in a fast-paced operational environment. You will be an effective problem solver with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:
- Current A Grade Electrical Licence (Dual Trade qualification highly regarded)
- Previous experience leading and supervising qualified electricians or maintenance trades teams
- Experience within the water, utilities, facilities maintenance, or similar industrial environment (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor control systems, variable speed drives (VSDs), and electrical maintenance practices
- Proven experience scheduling preventative maintenance and coordinating reactive maintenance activities
- Experience preparing quotations and managing maintenance work programs
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to understand complex technical issues and implement practical solutions
