About The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity exists for an Electrical Project Engineer to join Programmed, working in our Minor Capital Delivery team on the Melbourne Water Contract. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be based at our Western Treatment Plant site and your role will involve delivering minor capital projects from scoping to closing out and handing over to the client. You will have a solid understanding of AS3000 and Electrical Engineering principles and be able to deliver projects on time, within budget, and safely.

Nature of the position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Werribee

Reporting Line: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating scopes of work and time/cost estimates for Projects
  • Forecasting, planning and scheduling Projects
  • Conducting procurement activities and managing the tendering process
  • Report on Project outcomes and prepare reports for stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements and documentation
  • Providing ITP’s & ITC’s
  • Maintain and build strong client relationships


About You

  • Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Background and exposure to water and/or industrial projects
  • Demonstrated experience in tendering, contract award and administration process
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on effective stakeholder engagement
  • Experience leading and managing projects showcasing the ability to plan, coordinate and execute
  • Strong analytical skills and willing to contribute to decision making processes
