The Role

The Asset Manager is responsible for the development of strategies, processes and audit programs to increase the accuracy and efficiency of asset data capture, asset tracking and asset performance.

The role supports the facilities management team to measure the performance of sites and their critical assets so as to ensure their performance meets design specifications, achieves operational performance and are maintained in accordance with the agreed asset management plan.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

Safety Environment & Quality

  • Champions the implementation of Programmed Group HSE, Risk Management and Sustainability Policy and Processes.
  • Promotes and develops a safety culture across the business.
  • Ensures that all compliance based requirements are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Ensures business activities comply with relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice, guidelines and ethical standard. 

 

Asset Management

  • Develops Asset Maintenance Plans for Regional assets using corporate systems and processes.
  • Ensures plans and budgets are balanced and reflect available resources and any consequential risks are determined and appropriately managed. Monitors delivery of maintenance plans and review to ensure optimum performance of assets.
  • Ensures that asset condition and risks are understood and appropriately addressed.
  • Monitors the performance of assets systems to ensure that system capability is maintained.
  • Monitors maintenance plans, systems, risk registers and asset condition to ensure compliance with delivery expectations, optimisation of asset performance and life and minimisation of risk.
  • Determines, in conjunction with Region / Branch staff, the projected growth in demand and ensure appropriate planning is in place and statutory licences reflect future needs.
  • Ensures that Capital Investment Programs reflect the business needs of the region.
  • Manages the minor works program in respect to Region / Site assets.
  • Coordinates input from stakeholders to ensure that new assets being created satisfy the operational, maintenance and safety needs of the Region / Site.
  • Ensures the implementation of new initiatives concerning asset management.
  • Ensures that all relevant staff are trained, and where required, licensed to operate and maintain plant and equipment in a manner which reduces risk and injury.

 

Procurement

  • Negotiates procurement and purchasing arrangements for the Facility Management contracts in conjunction with the Contract Manager.
  • Monitors and reviews the operation of supply arrangements identifying any areas of concern or further opportunity.
  • Maintains a relationship with vendors and potential suppliers and ensure regular reviews are conducted.
  • Undertakes regular audits of all assets and plans maintenance/repair and replacement schedules.

  • Delivery of accurate and timely reporting 
  • Quality of support provided to the state operation across all areas of accountability
  • Satisfactory completion of objectives agreed with the line manager

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in asset register management.
  • Experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Proven organisational capabilities.
  • Strong to advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a technical / business management or related discipline
