About The Opportunity
Programmed Facility Management are seeking experienced FIFO Casual Chefs to join our Minesite Village Management Team to provide relief coverage. A dynamic position, this is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Village Management, Catering, Transport, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Mining Company situated in the west of North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of daily food and menu preparation, cooking and service for the Residents of the Village.
Ad hoc support to the Village Team is occasionally required.
Duties include:
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, in line with HACCP guidelines, procedures and documentation
- Production of high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals
- Continuous menu design and implementation
- Maintenance of the kitchen premises and food production equipment
- Assist other departments from time to time, if required
About You
To join our team, you will be a qualified Chef with demonstrated experience and innovation in mass catering environments. You will possess strong knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards, with cultural dietary requirements being an advantage. Additionally, a commitment to the safety of yourself and others, and a passion to provide quality product, and service with a smile, at all times.
You will possess:
- VALID C Class License
- Australian Working Rights
- Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Previous experience at a Minesite Village experience (mandatory)
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
- Ability to work within a Team; be a self-motivator with a “can do” attitude
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Have a strong commitment to the health and safety of yourself and others
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, both externally and internally
