The Role

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager to join our team in Auckland. This role's main function is to lead the capital and life-cycle replacement projects in our six PPP Schools located in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown to satisfy the operational objectives of all stakeholders, ensuring that deliverables are on time, to budget, and within contractual, technical, quality and safety standards.

The Project Manager role is responsible to undertake project management and contract management for assigned projects in accordance with the overarching Facilities Management (FM) Subcontract agreement.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Review project scope, analysis and prepare Change Notices as required under the FM Subcontract Agreement
  • Undertakes work planning and scheduling as relevant to the requirements of any assigned project.
  • Coordinates relevant works in conjunction trades within each of the schools during project delivery phase for assigned projects strictly in accordance with Programmes works and Project Management procedures.
  • Oversees and coordinates the work of consultants engaged on projects.as required

Contribute to preparation of reports for stakeholders as required

 

Skills and Experience

    • Proven prior experience working within Public Private Partnership contracts
    • Considerable experience in and sound knowledge of providing engineering project management services
    • Demonstrates knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with planning, approval and development of infrastructure schemes, systems and processes.
    • Possesses well developed contract negotiation and contract management skills.
