The Role

An outstanding opportunity has arisen within the Programmed Property Services Painting division for a State Manager to join our South Australian team.

In this integral role, you will provide senior leadership across the SA Painting business, driving activities required to achieve performance outcomes in key areas such as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), people management, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Reporting directly to the Head of Painting SA/WA/NT, you will contribute to the development of the state by fostering positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Performance Management: You will assess the performance of the state, establish budgets and plans, and identify strategies to address areas of underperformance or capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Safety Culture: A core part of your role will be to promote and develop a robust safety culture across the business, ensuring compliance with all HSE standards.
  • Financial Oversight: You will develop and implement strategies and processes aimed at reducing expenditure, improving profitability, and ensuring that company strategies and objectives are met.
  • Team Development: You will coach, mentor, and develop the painting team ensuring staff are engaged and actively involved in the business's success.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Solid Management experience as a Branch Manager or Senior Operational role
  • An engaging personality with the ability to form strong customer and internal relationships
  • Ability to see and interpret potential customer solutions
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at multiple levels 
  • Understanding of all sales and operational reports 
  • Ability to review sales estimates, provide accurate monthly forecasting
