About the Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse & Inventory Manager to join Programmed working on our Melbourne Water contract. Your role will be responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational excellence of store operations across multiple Melbourne Water sites. You will play a critical part in driving store efficiency, developing high-performing teams, and fostering an inclusive and engaged workforce culture.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and hands-on leader with the ability to work autonomously and implement continuous improvement initiatives to elevate performance, safety, and service delivery standards. This permanent full-time position will be based in Collins Street office, with travel to our Melbourne Water sites within the metropolitan area.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • The Store Manager is responsible for taking all steps practicable to ensure activity undertaken across multiple locations are conducted in a legal and ethical manner, and is consistent with Company standards, policy and procedure
  • Coordinate resource planning, scheduling, and logistics to meet service and delivery targets.
  • Develops and provides stock reports/counts when required
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize workflow, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Standardize warehouse and store procedures across sites and support adoption through change management.
  • Completes hazard and inspection audits in accordance with IMS schedule
  • Equipment is regularly serviced in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and accurate records of servicing history are maintained

 

About You

You are an experienced and proactive warehouse leader with a strong background in inventory management and multi-site operations. You’re skilled in optimizing workflows, enhancing safety standards and driving operational consistency across teams and locations.

 

  • Proven experience managing warehouse operations across multiple sites
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, scheduling and coordination
  • Adheres to all (Quality, Safety, Environmental) policies and procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the initiation to drive change
