About The Opportunity

Programmed Electrical Technologies currently has a rare opportunity for an entry-level cabling technician to join our team in Beard, ACT. Our skilled and experienced team provides electrical, communications & data installations on a wide range of customer sites. Working on predominantly government & defence projects, this position will provide you with the opportunity to work with experienced and knowledgeable trades on cabling and communications installations. Previous experience in a communications or construction environment will be essential

Nature of position: Full-Time

Location: Beard, ACT

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Fiber optic cabling installation, termination, splicing and testing
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their communication needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.
  • Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations in all tasks.

 

About You

  • Experience in communications or construction.
  • Defence clearance is beneficial
  • Current driver's license
