Golf Course Superintendent – Sandhurst Golf Club
Programmed Turnpoint are Australia’s premier Golf Course Maintenance Contractor servicing more than 9 golf courses around Australia.
The opportunity to lead course operations during an exciting period of club development and renewal, exists for a suitably experienced professional at this unique club.
Located just 30 minutes from Melbourne CBD the Peter Thomson designed 36-hole Sandhurst Club is located just 30 minutes from the Melbourne CBD and forms part of the premium golf-residential development that is Sandhurst.
The successful applicant shall be career driven, self-motivated, punctual and have the knowledge to work with a variety of grass species, soil conditions and water supplies.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee turf management, irrigation systems, and environmental management practices.
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance and improvement plan.
- Managing and driving a team of dedicated greenkeepers and maintenance staff.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Developing and managing a complex maintenance budget.
Qualifications:
- Certificate 3 in Horticulture / Turf Management.
- Diploma of Sports Turf Management (preferred but not always required depending on experience).
- Tier one golf experience (preferred but not always required depending on experience).
- 3-5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
- Proven leadership and staff management experience.
- Knowledge of turfgrass science, soil management, and pest control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a full-time position with weekend work on a rotating roster, Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
