Programmed Facility Management are seeking an experienced Retail / Bar and Tavern Supervisor to join our Minesite Village Management Team. Key Responsibilities

The Retail / Bar and Tavern Utility is primarily responsible for the responsible service of alcohol and sale of products to Residents (and Employees), maintaining a high level of customer service and cleanliness. The Retail / Bar and Tavern Utility will provide excellent customer service and demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Village, the operations, available amenities, and services.

The incumbent is a key person Minesite Village Management Team and is involved in promoting positive staff morale and a safe work environment, ensuring quality systems, and supporting business and client focus within the PFM business and across the company.

Duties include:

  • Preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, water and coffee
  • Maintaining the bar area, collecting and washing glassware
  • Tapping kegs and cleaning beer lines
  • Maintaining compliance with liquor regulations and workplace health and safety laws
  • Liaising with the appropriate staff and security where an incident occurs
  • Merchandising, maintaining, and ordering stock. Monitoring goods received and logging
  • Assist with the opening and closing of the bar and tavern, retail shop
  • Provide product advice in a retail environment; increase retail sales, taking and handling payments for orders
  • Assistance with month-end financial duties
  • Providing the Village Manager with adhoc / cleaning reports, scheduling required meetings, minuting daily team meetings, activities and rostering support
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Assist other site departments, such as the Front Desk / Reception from time to time, if required

 

About You

To join our team, you will be an experienced and highly organized Site Administrator, with a “can do” attitude, excellent attention to detail and passion for providing first-class customer service. Additionally, a commitment to the safety of yourself and others, and a knack for people engagement.

 

You will possess:

  • VALID C Class License
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol and/or Approved Manager Certification
  • The following experience / qualifications with Camp Facilities such as First Aid, Certificate III / IV Commercial Cookery or Hospitality, HR License, PDT Authorisation, HRWL (LF), ARO Certification and Cleaning (all desirable)

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

  • Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
  • Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
  • Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
