Programmed Facility Management are seeking experienced LOCAL CASUAL Culinary and Retail Staff to join our Site Management Teams. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Site Management, Catering, Cleaning and Utility services to well-known Mining and Oil & Gas Companies situated across WA.

Key Responsibilities
These positions are responsible for maintaining a high standard of daily food and menu preparation, cooking, dining room and retail sale of products for the Workers of Site, always maintaining a high level of customer service and cleanliness.
You will maintain Ad hoc support to the Site Teams are occasionally required.
Duties include:
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, in line with HACCP guidelines, procedures and documentation
- Production / assistance of high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals including bulk food preparation, labelling etc.
- Continuous menu design and implementation
- Maintain food production equipment
- Ensure the main facility is presented tidy and organized at all time
- Ensure all designated work areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness; ensure all kitchenware is washed and stored and rubbish is removed to standard
- Maintenance of the kitchen premises and food production equipment
- Notify the Supervisor of any maintenance required within the facility
- Assistance with stock control including quality reporting and temperature monitoring
- Use and store chemicals appropriately, maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials
- Liaising with the appropriate staff and security where an incident occurs
- Assist with the opening and closing of the retail shop
- Provide product advice in a retail environment; increase retail sales, taking and handling payments for orders
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Assist Head Chef and other Department Supervisors from time to time, if required
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced and highly organised Team Player with “can do” attitude, excellent attention to detail, a passion to always provide quality product and first-class customer service (with a smile!).
You will possess knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards and demonstrated experience in mass catering and industrial cleaning environments. A commitment to the safety of yourself and others, at all times is essential.
You will possess:
- VALID WA Driver’s License
- Australian Working Rights
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Certificate III or IV Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Food Safety Supervisor or Handler Certification
- Previous experience at a Minesite Village experience with experience / qualifications re First Aid
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
- Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
