About The Opportunity

Programmed’s Facility Management is seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Advisor to join our NSW/ACT team based in Fyshwick. This integral role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse and meaningful portfolio of ACT contracts that support essential services and vulnerable community members.

You will have the chance to grow your expertise while partnering with a high-performing team, all while leading and influencing safety performance across varied and rewarding environments. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation and driving continuous improvement in safety systems and practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive safety culture through active management of WHS systems and processes.
  • Provide specialist advice, support, and training to staff and subcontractors.
  • Conduct and lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
  • Deliver safety reports and communicate findings to leadership teams.
  • Assist with safety inductions for employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety standards where required.
  • Work with the Contract Executive NSW to coach and support leaders to embed proactive safety behaviors.

 

About You

You will be an experienced HSE Advisor who is confident operating independently in a broad and varied safety role. Additionally, you will bring:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (mandatory).
  • Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification in OH&S systems (desirable).
  • Experience in WHS reporting, audits, and investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and ability to develop policies and procedures.
  • Experience in Injury Management to assist in providing the best outcome for injured employee
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply WHS management systems effectively.
