About The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and recently securing a major long term local government contract, Programmed Commercial Painting is currently seeking a Painter to join our Bunbury team.
Our Painters are responsible for the timely preparation and painting of nominated customer sites to a high standard as per the directions of the Project Manager or Foreperson. A Painter also supports the team to deliver projects safely within the budgeted parameters (hours, materials and quality) and always endeavors to ensure that the job is completed to the customer’s satisfaction under the direction of the Project Manager or Foreperson.
This is a Full-time position working Monday to Friday and RDO every month.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide guidance to the painting team
- Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to the exterior and interior building surfaces
- Prepare painting surfaces for painting by scraping, filling, patching and removing old paint
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced supervising qualified Painter who has previously worked in a commercial environment with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have:
- Trade qualification in painting and decorating desirable not essential
- Current driver’s license
- Experience in working at heights and with access machinery
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace
- Excellent customer service skills
- Execute work that is of a high standard
- Current satisfactory national police check
