As a permanent Dining Room Supervisor within the Pilgangoora Operations, you’ll be supporting a reputable mining and minerals organisation in the Pilbara.
You’ll support delivery of essential on-site services including village management, catering, cleaning and utilities, helping create a safe, welcoming home away from home for remote workers.
Located 140km south of Port Hedland, this role goes beyond operations. It’s about building care, consistency and community on site.

Key responsibilities
The Dining Room Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of dining services for the Village. This role leads and coordinates Kitchen Utilities across service hours, ensuring staffing levels align with workforce movements and peak demand. The Supervisor maintains strong standards in customer service, food safety, hygiene, and WHS compliance while working closely with catering, village management, and HSEQ teams. They play a key role in staff training, performance oversight, and fatigue-aware rostering, while actively monitoring service flow, cleanliness, and worker wellbeing to ensure a positive dining experience for the residents.
Duties include:
- Lead and coordinate kitchen utility teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality dining services in a Village environment.
- Oversee daily meal service operations, staffing, and workflow during peak periods to ensure service standards, food presentation, and resident experience are consistently met.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to align dining room rosters with FIFO rotations, workforce movements, and operational requirements.
- Manage onboarding, training, daily briefings, and performance of dining room staff.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP, WHS, and mining site standards, including inspections, pre-starts, and cleaning schedules.
- Monitor and resolve resident service issues promptly and professionally, adapting service flow to shift changes and site demands.
- Support stock control and inventory management of dining room consumables and equipment.
- Complete required reporting, incident logging, shift handovers, and compliance documentation.
- Promote a positive site culture, teamwork, and morale while upholding site rules and dining room expectations.

The incumbent is a key person to the Village Management Team and is involved in promoting positive staff morale and a safe work environment, ensuring quality systems, and supporting business and client focus within the PFM business and across the company.
About You

You will possess:
- Australian Working Rights
- VALID Australian C Class Driver’s License
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification
- Approved Manager / RSA certification
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Previous experience leading Staff and working in a similar role at a Village
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
- Ability to manage a Team; providing hands on coaching and support where required
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
