Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Assistant Village Manager / Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) to join our team at Sunrise Dam.

Supporting our client as part of ongoing site operations, this is a senior site-based role combining village leadership and coordination with aerodrome responsibilities.

Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, this opportunity will suit an experienced FIFO professional who is confident leading by example, maintaining high standards and working across both operational and aviation environments.

The Opportunity

As Assistant Village Manager / ARO, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the village while providing a strong leadership presence on site.

The role will have a strong focus on site leadership, coordination and maintaining operational standards, working closely with the Village Manager, site teams, contractors and client stakeholders.

Alongside these responsibilities, you will undertake Aerodrome Reporting Officer duties, supporting aerodrome operations, inspections, reporting and compliance requirements.

This is a varied role that requires someone who can take ownership, make sound decisions and confidently coordinate across multiple functions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, service and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Village Manager with the day-to-day operation of the village
  • Provide leadership and direction across site functions and support teams in maintaining high standards
  • Set and maintain expectations around service delivery, presentation, safety and operational standards
  • Coordinate site activities, logistics and operational requirements
  • Support travel, accommodation and site logistics as required
  • Assist with onboarding, inductions, site access and documentation
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with site leadership, contractors and client stakeholders
  • Undertake Aerodrome Reporting Officer responsibilities in line with relevant standards and site requirements
  • Complete aerodrome inspections, reporting and associated documentation
  • Support the coordination of airside activities and ensure relevant processes are followed
  • Identify and address operational issues proactively
  • Support continuous improvement across village operations
  • Assist with general site coordination as required

About You

We're looking for an experienced FIFO site professional who is confident operating in a senior leadership and coordination capacity.

You'll be comfortable setting standards, working autonomously and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders. You will lead by example and have the confidence to identify issues, make decisions and ensure operational requirements are met.

You will also have the technical knowledge required to support aerodrome operations and compliance.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven experience in an Assistant Village Manager, Village Manager or similar senior FIFO site role (Required)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a FIFO, facilities, mining or village environment
  • Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) qualification (Required)
  • Previous ARO experience (Preferred)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • The ability to set and maintain high operational standards
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions
  • Strong administrative and reporting skills
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment
  • Current C Class driver's licence, with manual licence preferred
  • Long-term Australian working rights
  • Perth-based and able to FIFO from Perth

Requirements

  • ARO qualification
  • Previous senior FIFO site leadership experience
  • Current C Class driver's licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Current National Police Check
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Perth-based
