The Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Account Manager to join Programmed Skilled Workforce, based in Bendigo.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is focused on driving growth across the Bendigo region through strong client engagement, new business development, and hands-on relationship management. You will work closely with both existing and prospective clients across blue-collar industries, identifying workforce needs, building trusted relationships, and delivering practical labour hire and staffing solutions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, meeting clients on site, uncovering opportunity, and turning conversations into commercial outcomes. You will play a key role in strengthening Programmed’s presence in the region and positioning the business as a proactive, reliable and industry-leading workforce partner.
Skills and experience
In order to thrive in this position the following attributes are highly valued:
- Ability to deliver strong customer relationship management that promotes service excellence, trust and client retention.
- Experience identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities.
- Confidence working autonomously, managing your own pipeline and taking ownership of outcomes.
- A proactive approach to client engagement, including regular site visits and market activity.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- An approachable and confident style when dealing with a broad range of people.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to balance client service, business development and operational priorities.
Ideally you will possess Recruitment Industry experience; however applicants will be considered from a Trade, Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Service background.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive safety culture across clients, field employees and internal operations.
- Regularly visit customer sites to build relationships, maintain service levels and identify opportunities.
- Promote Programmed’s labour hire and staffing solutions to existing and prospective clients.
- Prepare professional proposals and quotes.
- Deliver safety talks, field employee engagement and site inspections.
- Maintain accurate account records, compliance documentation and activity updates.
Employee Benefits
- Autonomy to manage and grow your region with the support of an experienced leadership team.
- Supportive team culture within a well-established national business.
- Paid parental leave, wellbeing initiatives and Employee Assistance Program access.
- Access to retailer discounts and additional employee benefits.
- A varied role combining client engagement, business development and operational support.
