The Role

Programmed Industrial Maintenance is currently seeking a casual Fitter or Plant mechanic for maintenance and operational support on ship to shore container cranes at the Port of Brisbane.

The site works a 24-hour 7day operation, the successful applicant will be offered work ideally with a weeks’ notice, if available to help cover maintenance and operational support. Cover for day, evenings and night shifts throughout the week and weekends could be required. Must be comfortable and capable to work at heights.

Previous heavy industrial experience, with PLC or automated machinery, Site familiarisation and training provided.

Skills and experience

Australian Recognised Trade Certificate,

Strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety.

Ability to provide a clear National Police Clearance (Valid within 12-24 months)

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.

HIGHLY REGARDED.

Current Nationally Accredited Working at Heights ticket.

High risk qualifications (Forklift, Elevated work platform, Rigging).

Previous mining and/or shutdown experience.
