About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth and the recent award of a major long-term local government contract, Programmed Property Services is seeking an experienced Painter Foreperson to join our team in Bunbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified painting professional to lead a team delivering high-quality commercial painting services across a variety of customer sites. You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site activities, coordinating teams, maintaining quality standards and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to client expectations.

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday, with a monthly RDO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and support a team of painters across multiple projects and work sites.
  • Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard.
  • Undertake surface preparation including scraping, filling, patching and removal of old coatings.
  • Apply paints, sealers and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Monitor quality outcomes and ensure work complies with project specifications and customer requirements.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and on-the-job support to team members.
  • Liaise with customers, supervisors and project stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all WHS requirements and company procedures.
  • Complete site documentation, reporting and project-related administration as required.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism and customer service excellence.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a trade-qualified painter with previous supervisory experience in a commercial painting environment and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

You will also possess:

  • Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising painting teams.
  • Experience working across commercial painting projects.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Experience working at heights and operating access equipment.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional approach and positive leadership style.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work and achieve project deadlines.
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.

Highly Regarded

  • EWP, Working at Heights or other relevant construction licences.
  • Experience delivering local government, education, healthcare or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial painting specifications and project delivery requirements.
