We are seeking a commercially astute and technically strong Finance Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract to lead our financial reporting and governance functions within our dynamic, Houe of Brands at the Country Road Group. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information to internal and external stakeholders, while driving process excellence and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including Board reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow)
• Lead the annual audit and act as primary external audit contact
• Oversee balance sheet governance (inventory, leases, provisions, rebates, gift cards)
• Review statutory accounts and group consolidations
• Lead balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, supporting budgeting and commercial decision-making
• Provide technical accounting advice and implement new standards
• Drive process improvement, automation, and strong internal controls
• Lead and develop Financial Reporting, Occupancy & Fixed Assets, and Cash Management teams
• Ensure strong controls, minimal reconciling items, and high-quality insights
• Lead and mentor a team, fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive culture. Set clear behavioural expectations and hold yourself and others accountable.

Key Capabilities

• CA/CPA qualified with extensive experience in fast paced commercial environments, ideally in retail.
• Strong commercial acumen, strong technical accounting and analytical skills, ideally with exposure to IFRS 16
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities within strict timelines.
• Demonstrated people leadership capability and experience building high-performance teams
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
