Junior Planner - Witchery

The role supports the broader Merchandise Planning team in developing and executing seasonal merchandise plans across the women’s fashion range. Working collaboratively with the team, the position will assist with managing Open to Buy (OTB) and proactively monitoring sales, stock, markdowns and profitability throughout the season.
As this is a development and training-focused role, responsibilities will be undertaken collaboratively and under the guidance of the Merchandise Planning team, providing the opportunity to build strong commercial, analytical and fashion retail planning capabilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage allocation of inventory to stores, using your evaluation of historical sales trends, demand drivers and model stock for stores to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time
- Manage delivery schedule and into OFC reporting to advise monthly go lives of new product to the website.
- Act as a key contact for stores and regional managers for any inventory availability queries
- Collaborate with stores, suppliers, and warehouses to ensure efficient stock flow
- Ensure availability of key volume lines through accurate item planning and effectively working with the product teams and sourcing to ensure on time delivery of goods.
- Assist the Planner and Buyer to manage OTB and Seasonal stock quantification
- Produce and distribute weekly trade reporting to the team to support decision making with actionable insights
- Analyse weekly reports, identify trade actions and opportunities around store allocations and replenishment.
- Prepare and contribute towards SWOT, post seasonal review meetings, divisional strategy meetings, and any other forward strategy meetings in conjunction with the product team & Women’s planning team
Key Capabilities
- A relevant degree including, Commerce, Business Administration or Retail or a related field.
- Prior experience in a planning role within retail
- Highly analytical with an understanding of merchandise planning processes.
- Proficient in advanced Excel and skilled in effectively using planning systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
