Product Owner - Customer

We are looking for an experienced Customer Product Owner to join a brand-new function focused on driving the optimisation and value of our marketing automation and loyalty platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who brings a blend of technical platform understanding and strong product ownership skills. You’ll work closely with a business analyst and cross-functional teams to manage and optimise a set of existing customer technology stacks! Not simply deliver greenfield projects.

Because this is a newly established team, we need someone who can help embed product thinking, guide best practices, and shape how we work, while confidently engaging stakeholders and ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives. Key Accountabilities

  • Own and manage the customer product backlog across marketing automation, loyalty, and future platforms
  • Use data and performance metrics to continuously refine and optimise marketing automation workflows, loyalty campaigns, and customer experiences. 
  • Work closely with a business analyst to capture requirements, translate business needs into user stories, and ensure clear prioritisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, analytics, IT, and external partners, to drive product delivery and platform enhancements
  • Identify opportunities to optimise and leverage existing technology stacks (rather than replace), ensuring value is maximised
  • Lead the implementation of new loyalty program features and enhancements, ensuring the platform evolves with customer needs and business goals. 
  • Guide and support a team new to product thinking by modelling best-practice product ownership, agile ceremonies, and backlog management
  • Engage stakeholders to align product strategy with business objectives, ensuring clear communication and expectation setting

Key Capabilities 

  • Experience in a product owner or product management role, ideally within marketing automation, loyalty platforms, or customer data environments. 

  • Familiarity with tools like Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar

  • Experience working with loyalty platforms (e.g., Antavo) to develop and optimise loyalty programs that drive customer retention and engagement. 

  • Experience with change management and supporting business users in adopting new technology
  • Demonstrated experience in leading identity resolution initiatives, ensuring a unified and accurate customer view across channels. 

  • Experience working closely with data science and analytics teams to integrate predictive models and customer insights into marketing automation and loyalty strategies. 

  • Proven ability to collaborate with other Product Owners, especially in areas like engagement, to align cross-functional strategies and ensure a seamless customer experience. 

  • Experience managing direct reports, particularly in roles focused on experimentation, platform integrations, and customer journey optimisation. 

  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze), with experience in building automated workflows and customer journeys. 

  • Proficiency in loyalty platforms (e.g., Antavo), with knowledge of loyalty program design, management, and optimisation. 

  • Strong understanding of identity resolution techniques and platforms, with experience in managing customer identity across multiple touchpoints.
