Marketing & Campaign Manager - Country Road
The Marketing & Campaign Manager will lead the planning, development, and execution of brand campaigns and consumer promotions across 360 marketing channels – incl. content, digital marketing, CRM, social, retail, PR, influencer and activations. Key to this role is balancing data-driven customer insights and creativity to continuously innovate Country Road’s marketing efforts. This role will manage end-to-end planning and execution, anchored by measurable campaign outcomes that fuel both the brand and business. This role is responsible for leading, inspiring and cultivating a high performing team that attracts and retains top talent.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage 360 marketing campaign planning, briefing and end-to-end implementation – including content, digital marketing, CRM, social, retail, PR, influencer and activations
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams – especially customer insights and product teams (Design, Merchandising and Buying) – to ensure campaigns are in tune with customer and commercial priorities
- Manage 4 direct reports in PR, Events and Influencer Marketing, Retail and Wholesale Marketing, Social Media, and Digital Marketing
- Manage our external media agency ensuring the most efficient and effective media buying across all above the line channels
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in Group Customer Insights and Digital, Creative, Styling, Design, Merchandising, Buying, Visual Merchandising, Retail and Global Markets (South Africa and New Zealand)
- Maintain accuracy of the team marketing calendar, aggregating inputs across all teams and ensuring stakeholder alignment
- P&L Management of Marketing Budget ensuring budget forecast is up to date and managed accurately, budget processes are followed and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all marketing activities have clear measurable goals, and produce ongoing marketing reporting that leads to actionable learnings and innovation
Key Capabilities
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry
- A drive towards contributing towards retail excellence and brand growth
- Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment whilst maintaining composure
- Well-developed time management, analytical and organisation skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and retain a highly skilled team of employees
