Your Opportunity

A unique opportunity exists for a Quality and Completions Manager to lead and enhance quality management systems on a large regional building project based in Bundaberg. In this position, you’ll play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining robust quality management processes, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and driving excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

The role is ideal for a professional with extensive construction quality assurance experience on building projects, strong leadership qualities, and a proven ability to navigate complex technical and stakeholder requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Undertake regular reviews of the quality management system to ensure continuous improvement within the system, updating documentation and distributing them as these improvements occur.
• Provide leadership and support to the project delivery team on all matters relating to Quality and Completion activities
• Ensure planned inspection and testing (including identification and traceability) are carried out to verify that the work processes are effective and that all finished work is of industry best practice
• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan and assist in development of other project management plans
• Ensure all procured and supplied items manufactured in Australia, overseas and parent companies conform to the specifications before incorporating them in the works
• Prepare a Completion Deliverables Matrix to identify all records to be captured during the projects lifecycle;
• Manage completion and close out programme

Minimum Requirements for this Role:

• Degree in a discipline that develops critical thinking skills such as Quality Management, Engineering or Science or Trade qualification in a discipline related to construction.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 3 years in construction quality management on major projects.
• Experience as a Lead Auditor of Quality Management Systems, with strong knowledge of integrated Safety, Health, and Environmental management systems.
• Detailed understanding of relevant Australian standards, both technical and related to quality management systems.
• Construction quality management experience, with demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance principles, processes, and policies applied to large-scale projects.
• Ability to apply quality principles to ensure compliance with project-specific scope of works and technical criteria (SWTC).
• Demonstrated commercial expertise, including planning, scheduling and providing regular reports on cost, time, and performance metrics.
