We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced GIS Managers who are seeking to join a Tier 1 contractor and progress within their career. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an experienced and established team.

The Opportunity

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote the use of ArcGIS platform and extended tools and web mapping applications, to manage design process and construction methodology.
  • Sound implementation of spatial data lifecycle plan, including reviewing and maintaining project spatial data and ensuring the agreed parameters of the GIS deliverables are met within the allocated program and budgets.
  • Configure and manage Geocortex-based Web mapping applications.
  • Develop and maintain Geocortex workflows and reporting modules.
  • Establishment and dissemination of project processes, guides and documentation for the management of information with consideration to the management structure and contractual requirements.
  • Providing mentoring and delivery of internal training courses and material
  • Work with the Digital Engineering team to identify potential opportunities for CPBD JV.
  • Engage with and support external GIS managers and users and project teams and aim at providing them with solutions that make their tasks more efficient.
  • Manage the expectation of the client and stakeholders in relation to the GIS data requirements, deliverables and data governance, including assessment of industry capabilities and developments.
  • Assist in the development of projects’ related management plans, interfacing management plans and policies to reflect the contractual requirements, legislation and best practice standards and any subsequent revisions.

Preferred requirements for this role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geomatics, Surveying, Arts or Applied Science
  • Previous experience in spatial applications on large multi-disciplined construction projects.
  • Previous experience in Civil, Mining, Services and Process engineering projects work
  • Ability to self-manage with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication, and training/presentation skills
  • High-level competency and experience in a wide range of spatial applications
  • Ability to develop relationships, influence, mentor others and negotiate outcome
