What can our construction projects build for you?

The Project

Currently more than 50% complete, the Transmission Gully Project involves the construction of a new highway through challenging terrain that will require approximately 6 million cubic metres of earthworks, significant stream diversions and vegetation clearing. The Project works include 27 kilometres of 4-lane motorway in a single road corridor, 3 grade-separated interchanges, 2 grade-separated connections, and 28 separate bridge and underpass structures.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to a Project Engineer, the CPB HEB Joint Venture have requirements for Site Engineers who hold recent experience within the earthworks and/or road construction projects.

Responsibilities include (although not limited to):

  • Support a culture of "Zero Harm", through compliance with all Company SH&E policies and procedures
  • Maintaining productive relationships with the project team, client representatives, sub-contractors, foreman, consultants and the community, where appropriate delivering engineering services that meet the needs of relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure an efficient, effective Engineering service is provided through reading and understanding supply contracts and design specifications to accurately relay to team
  • Measuring, recording and reporting on progress against program in allocated work packages
  • Developing, planning and delivering works in line with the project programme

The ideal applicant will have:

  • A Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • A commitment to safety and health above all else
  • Min 2 years industry experience in civil construction
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to programme and plan work which include interfaces with several different parties
