The Role

Sustainability Advisor & Senior Sustainability Advisor

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Sustainability professionals who are interested in joining CPB Contractors in Melbourne. As a Sustainability professional, you’ll be based on a project, or in our Melbourne head office, driving cutting-edge sustainability performance across design, procurement and construction.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing the Sustainability management plan ensuring inclusions in skills and procurement plan, Stakeholder manager strategies and key project documentation on project start-ups.
  • Providing regular updates to project, client and business unit teams.
  • Planning and working with the stakeholders and supply chain to ensure a collaborative approach.
  • Managing the monthly monitoring/reporting requirements for your project and submit to the relevant client.
  • Attending the client meetings and project review meetings to report outputs, issues and risks around sustainability targets.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with client and stakeholders (government bodies, council, design teams, industry groups).
  • Implementing Sustainability strategies with our sub-contractors.
  • Contributing towards the quality standards/processes guiding the CPB systems.
  • Identifying and producing case studies to assist with communicating best practice.
  • Promoting the development of community investment activities and programmes within the construction business.
  • Engaging with schools/colleges for site visits, work experience in line with CPB strategic objectives.
  • Performing any other ad hoc duties
  • Researching the latest developments of sustainable construction practice and technology


Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Calm and professional manner
  • Effective problem solver and negotiator
  • Solid administration and IT skills – advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
  • Able to liaise with people at all levels
  • Ability to persuade and influence stakeholders
  • Be self-motivated and able to self-manage
  • Reliable and committed
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to different work environments
  • Project Management skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement or delivering sustainability requirements.
