The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project’s twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals – the entrances and exits to the tunnels – at the stabling facility.
About the Opportunity:
Join our team as a Permits Officer. You'll be the key to coordinating and issuing all permits to ensure they are processed and issued to ensure smooth transition from concept to construction completion.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Auditing all facets of PTW system at regular intervals ensuring compliance,
- Facilitating and coordinating Project Construction PTW requirements by liaising with Supervisors/Subcontractors and access and enable work flow,
- Regularly auditing and ensuring information and procedures are adequate for isolations,
- Being actively involved in the development of third party interface agreements to safely execute workloads carried out by external subcontractors to the project,
- Monitoring material availability and coordinate with task scheduling.
We are looking for someone with:
- Permit to Work experience (5 + years) in Construction and/or heavy industry and high-risk workplaces.
- Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety,
- Trade qualification in a related industry preferred.
- Experience in construction on major projects.
- Experience in participating in high level investigations involving multiple internal and external parties,
- Knowledge of isolation procedures and compliance codes.
