CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail.  Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.  The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and redevelopment of the existing Dutton Park station.

Accountable for providing leadership of the assigned Precinct Team for the delivery of CRR TSD project ensuring that the best for project outcome is achieved in all areas including, but not limited, to HS&E, technical, engineering, program, commercial, people and culture, stakeholders interest, and JV reputation

You will be responsible for:

  • Drive fair and consistent management of subcontractors, consultants and suppliers across the sites; mediate any subcontract disputes or conflicts to achieve lowest cost resolution
  • Manage the full project lifecycle using best-practice methodology
  • Providing Leadership, direction and guidance to the project team and establishing proactive relationships within the JV and other stakeholders
  • Leading building/construction including planning, forecasting and procurement
  • Ensuring all activities align, and are delivered within the required standards and requirements
  • Confirm adequate resourcing to deliver key project requirements in-line with program, budget and contractual obligations

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • Recognised background in management and delivery of large scale, complex building/construction projects 
  • Degree qualification Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant discipline
  • Construction delivery experience with the Tunnelling environment is highly desirable
  • Proven commercial acumen include planning and reporting on progress, cost and risk.
  • Be solutions orientated and display a personal commitment to health & safety
  • Ability to build a strong team around you and invest in their growth
