The Project

The project is in the Defence sector on sites located in regional Western Australia. The overall project is more than 2 years in duration, involving significant construction upgrades to airfield asphalt pavements and related infrastructure assets.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Asphalt with airfield pavements, asphalt contracting and civil construction background, to join our multi-disciplinary project team. The role is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven and ambitious professional to enable and lead the delivery of a major business initiative within a complex project.

 

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior project role, specifically involving asphalt contracting, roads and pavement construction
  • tertiary qualification in engineering
  • proven commitment to promoting safety, quality and environmental compliance
  • collaborative team attitude with operational leadership experience
  • demonstrated ability in developing strong relationships with subcontractor and supplier partners
  • high level understanding of resourcing, technical, scheduling and contract management to achieve and exceed safety, quality, time and cost objectives
  • extensive experience in site-based construction roles, client interface and project management systems
  • experience with Defence processes and project delivery will be highly regarded
  • able to meet Department of Defence security clearance requirements (DCAC)
