The Project
The project is in the Defence sector on sites located in regional Western Australia. The overall project is more than 2 years in duration, involving significant construction upgrades to airfield asphalt pavements and related infrastructure assets.
Your Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager - Asphalt with a background in fixed or mobile asphalt production and contracting to join our multidisciplinary project team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and ambitious professional to lead and drive the successful delivery of a major business initiative within a complex project.
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior asphalt production role, involving the supply of high-specification mixes for airfield pavement and road construction projects.
- Expertise in the establishment, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of mobile production assets.
- A proven commitment to safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- A collaborative approach to teamwork with demonstrated operational leadership experience.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with subcontractor and supplier partners.
- High-level understanding of resourcing, technical criteria, logistics, and materials management to achieve safety, quality, time, and cost objectives.
- Extensive experience in site-based construction roles, client interfacing, and quality management systems.
- A mechanical or electrical trade qualification is preferred.
- Experience with Defence and airfield project delivery will be highly regarded.
- Ability to meet the Department of Defence security clearance requirements (DCAC).
