The Project
CPB Contractors, in Alliance partnership with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project, involving construction of a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker, and associated stockpiling systems, with a capacity of 30Mtpa. The Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country, approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Your opportunity
Join CPB Contractors as a full-time employee and contribute to the success of one of Australia's largest contractors. Engage with industry leaders from project start-up, working on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis with a balanced 14 days on and 7 days off schedule. This role requires experience supervising crews on large SMP projects, specifically structural steel installation (for example, placement of large modules in excess of 250 tonne), experience in conveyor and pump alignment and crusher installation experience.
Our minimum requirements for this role:
- Minimum five years’ experience supervising and leading crews large SMP projects.
- Structural steel, crane & rigging background.
- Experience in Conveyor - Pump alignment, Crusher experience
- Ability to maximise productivity rates and report on production and progress.
- Frontline Management or similar supervisor training preferred.
- A collaborative and diligent attitude to project delivery and commitment to promoting a friendly team environment on site.
- Absolute commitment to safety in everything you do.
- High Risk Licence (RI & RA), EWP Ticket, Working at Heights (Advantage)
- Hold unit of competency - CPCWHS1001, Prepare to work safety in the construction industry (White Card)
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- Previous BHP schedule 26 Supervisor certificate (Advantage)
- Weld Ticket (Advantage)
