Who are we?

CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail.  Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD.  The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street station.


About the opportunity
:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer, with proven testing & commissioning experience, to join the team on Brisbane’s Cross River Rail TSD JV project. The purpose of this position will be to effectively coordinate the design, procurement and construction elements for a designated area on the project – whilst ensuring the safety, time, cost and environmental objectives are achieved.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination of procurement for the designated work area.
  • Management of short - and long-term construction planning for works - including submittals, start-up planning and programming.
  • Supporting the Senior Project Engineer in preparing accurate monthly reports.
  • Coordination of construction elements for the designated work area.
  • Development and monitoring of KPI’s and productivity analysis against program and budget.
  • Development and monitoring of quality documentation completion against specifications and PSTR.
  • Working with site-based personnel including supervisory staff, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, consultants, the client and regulatory authorities and industry bodies.

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant rail industry experience
  • Manage self and others to deliver work
  • Applying engineering principles to comply with project scope and technical requirements (PSTR)
  • Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time
