The Project

CPB Contractors along with our industry partners are currently delivering the Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) package, part of the Cross River Rail Project. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD.

The RIS package is crucial to the overall delivery and success of Cross River Rail, and its integration with the Queensland Rail network.  RIS will be delivered by the UNITY Alliance which brings CPB Contractors, UGL, AECOM, Jacobs, Queensland Rail and the CRR Delivery Authority together with partners HASSEL, RCS Australia, Acmena, Martinus Rail and WIRED Overhead Solutions to deliver the full scope of works over the next three years. This includes:

  • Rail, civil and electrical works.
  • Brownfield rail surface works primarily to the north of the tunnel, including an upgrade of Exhibition Station and a major augmentation of Mayne Yard.
  • Major new works to Clapham Yard.
  • Upgrade of suburban stations to the south.
  • Rail operational systems works.
  • Rail signalling works and communications, integration and commissioning activities.

 

Your opportunity

Reporting to the HR Manager, Unity Alliance have an opportunity for a Rail Training Advisor to join the team. You will: 

  • Maintain the projects training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill, competency levels and required skill levels in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain project training plan with a focus on proficiency-based training outcomes
  • Coordinate and manage the project induction program
  • Coordinating training activities while ensuring adherence to all legislative and project requirements
  • Managing and coordinating training outcomes in line with the Qld Government Building and Construction Training Policy

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Experience working within the RIW (Rail Industry Worker) system
  • Demonstrated experience as a Training Advisor within the construction and rail industries
  • Certificate IV Trainer Assessor desirable
  • High level computer literacy
  • Strong administrative skills and experience in online training systems
